The walls of the Eco-House are made from what is called a SIP panel. The panels consist of a rigid foam core and a plywood skin, typically OSB plywood. Kind of reminds me of an ice cream sandwich.

This year's Eco House is spectacular. Tremendous architecture, design, and sustainable technologies make this the “home of the future” now. It is durable, sustainable, comfortable, and beautiful. The Eco-House for 2009 is Net-Zero. Zero energy building (ZEB) or net zero energy building is a term applied to buildings with zero net energy consumption and zero carbon emissions annually. A special thanks to SALA Architects Inc. Dave, Eric, Marc, Chris, and Jared. Nice work.
